Create a Project

Projects are containers that hold related tasks, boards, and sprints together.

    Open the Project selector

    Click the project dropdown in the task page header. Select '+ New Project'.

    Name your project

    Enter a clear, descriptive name. Add an optional description for context.

    Pick a color

    Choose from the 6 color swatches to give your project a visual identity.

    Start adding tasks

    Assign existing tasks to the project, or create new tasks directly inside it.

Every project gets its own color dot that appears alongside tasks in lists, boards, and the detail panel โ€” so you can always tell which project a task belongs to at a glance.

Sprints

Break your project into time-boxed iterations. Plan what to tackle in each sprint and track progress.

    Create a sprint

    In the project settings, click '+ Sprint'. Set a name, start date, and end date.

    Add tasks to the sprint

    From the backlog, drag tasks into the sprint โ€” or use the sprint selector on each task.

    Track sprint progress

    The backlog view filters by active sprint. Watch tasks move from todo to done.

    Complete the sprint

    When the time-box ends, unfinished tasks can roll over to the next sprint.

The Backlog tab has a sprint dropdown that auto-selects the active sprint for the current project. Switching projects updates this automatically.

Custom Boards

Each project can have multiple Kanban boards with fully customizable columns.

Define Columns

Create columns like 'Design', 'Development', 'QA', 'Done' โ€” whatever fits your team's process.

Color Code

Each column gets a color swatch for quick visual scanning across the board.

Inline Editing

Click a column header to rename it. Right-click for more options like delete or recolor.

Board Selector

Switch between boards using the board dropdown at the top of the Board view.

    Go to Board view

    Select a project from the dropdown, then click the 'Board' tab.

    Create a new board

    Click the board selector and choose '+ New Board'. Give it a name.

    Add columns

    Click '+ Add Column'. Enter a label and pick a color.

    Start using it

    Drag tasks between columns. Each column maps to a task status.

Switch views freely โ€” your data is always in sync.

The active project and board selections persist to localStorage, so when you return to the tasks page, you'll see exactly where you left off.

Team Workflow

Projects aren't just personal โ€” assign tasks to team members and collaborate in real time.

Assign Members

Use the assignee field in each task to assign people. Type-ahead search makes it fast.

Move to Project

Right-click any personal task and select 'Move to project' to add it to a shared project.

    Open a task, click the assignee field, and type a team member's name.

    Move tasks to projects

    Right-click a task in My Tasks โ†’ 'Move to project' โ†’ pick a project from the inline picker.

    Collaborate via comments

    Use the conversation panel on the left side of the task detail to discuss with your team.
